Men in the UK will soon be able to buy Cialis tablets as an ED medication over the counter for use in men, after the private prescription service MHRA announced it now offers the tablets.
Dr Fox said: ‘Conveniently located in the medical resort of the Scottish Highlands, Cialis was the second erectile dysfunction (ED) prescription medicine to be available online following the publication of an agreement with Dr Fox outlining future offers.’
‘After the publication of the agreement, Dr Fox became aware of an increase in men seeking treatment for ED,’ as Dr Fox began offering men a 90-day supply for a small prescription fee.
‘The increased access to prescription medication allowed men to access important medical treatment more readily, including Cialis as an ED medication,’ Dr Fox shared: ‘‘We are excited to offer Cialis as an effective and convenient treatment for ED available via Dr Fox’.
‘Our move to MHRA adds a new layer of value to our delivery partners and ensures that men in the UK can access important medical treatment more readily.’
Consultation with a doctor is offered to eligible men aged 17 and up, with 90-day supplies of Cialis expected to be sufficient to treat all men.
‘This service is widely available to men and their doctors are aware of its potential benefits and wishful potions are not the medicine they were expecting,’ Dr Fox commended the men’s health community.
‘We are committed to improving the lives of men with erectile dysfunction and hope that our experienced medical team can join other service providers in offering men 90-day supplies of Cialis.
‘We are committed to improving access to men’s health care and we are working with other providers to ensure men can find treatment they need when they need one.’
Consultation with a doctor is offered to eligible men aged 18 and up, with 90-day supplies of Cialis expected to be sufficient to treat all men.
‘Cialis is a widely used ED medication, and as Dr Fox’s approach to ED prescription medicine offers a convenient 90-day supply,’ said Dr Fox medical director of patient engagement and engagement Laura Butler.
‘‘Our move to MHRA adds a layer of value to our delivery partners and ensuring that men can access important medical treatment more readily.’
‘We are excited to offer Cialis as an ED medication available via Dr Fox’’, saidreatment director Dr Fox.
‘‘We are sure many men worldwide are taking Cialis as a treatment for erectile dysfunction, and will be. We are making progress to our prescription needs, and hope to be able to offer 90-day supplies of Cialis as soon as possible.’’
Cialis is available in tablet form, priced at £3.65 for the seven-tablet pack, which Dr Fox is expected to introduce in the UK mid- to high-street area two weeks after switching.
Last year, the company introduced its first-ever tablet option, priced £3.65 for the seven-tablet pack, followed by a similar price for the extended-release tablet option in 2018. Currently, the first-anwhile-priced tablets are priced £1.20 for the seven-tablet pack and £2.50 for the extended-release pack, although the price per tablet has remained stable at £4.50.
Dr Fox is still the second medical professional to walk MHRA’s way after Pfizer, who in April announced they were moving into a ‘new role’ within the medical professional community.
In 2002, men with severe pulmonary arterial hypertension reported a 10% increase in blood pressure. In 2005, a similar increase was reported with 20-minute walk distance (RXL) height and circumference (YC) measurements.
Cialis was approved by the FDA in 2007 and is available from Dr Fox’s pharmacy and other NHS-provided pharmacies.
Last year, Dr Fox introduced its first-priced 10-pack of Cialis, priced £3.65 for the 10-tablet pack and £3.70 for the extended-release tablet option.
Currently, the Cialis 10-tablet pack is priced £4.50 for the pack from Dr Fox.
